Both my onward and return journey from India were through Moscow airport. Though my stay in were brief to be even counted as landing in Russia, I liked the place a lot. The first thing that comes to mind when landing at airport is, they have a lot of space, esp. if you coming from place like India and New york .The airport is huge. Looking through the window of my flight, I could see small houses, with big gardens, farms … a perfect way of life for me. The infrastructure of the airport seemed more like India, then the west. And the best part – language. I cannot understand a word of Russian language, but it just feels good to hear. I am going back to US, sitting at the Moscow airport. This time it has snowed, and man, the sight is beautiful . I just cant wait to get to Pittsburgh, which apparently has got its own share of snow.
As I had a lot of time to kill , both on my way to India and return, I visited some of the terminals here. They vary a bit in infrastructure. Terminal D seemed quite modern and full big view of the airport. Other terminals have very very big shops, especially terminal F. I was feeling more at a shopping mall then an airport.
This part of the article is a note for self and others who might be travelling(and also might explain why the artile on this blog). 1) Security checks in russia are very less compared to India/US. 2) Russian Airlines(Aerofloat) is the best I have travelled till now, esp because of big space for seats(Your are not crammed) and USB ports availability. I would definitely recommend them( I have travelled a lot on many different carriers and aerofloat is best). If u vegetarian , make sure put vegan while booking the flight or check in.3) Going to India- definitely buy alcohol at moscow airport – all good one’s, nicely priced.

CMU Gym
Yess, Cmu is not all tech and i was able to sneak time for the gym this week. Though small for such a big university, it has awesome equipment as compared to what i was used to in India. As usual , promised my self for being 'regular ', but it has been 3 consecutive days i missed the workout and looks it would remain the same , with the most hectic week coming up. Will update the post with some pics later.

Hello World !!
For non techies, this is a programmer’s way to say ‘hi’ :D. Well I have arrived in us and quietly settling down here .It has been short yet wonderful, adventurous, and quite educating new experience for me. During my ‘International Student’ Orientation at CMU, the speaker stressed upon the importance journaling our experiences in us, preferably on blog. I made a note to my self to go with the idea, whenever free . It has been roughly 20 days now, and today while cleaning my room for the first time in my ‘free time’, I found that note , and bingo I am writing this post. I will try to journal what ever ‘I can’ here about CMU, US and my experiences .
